Nursing Services
St. Joseph’s Rehabilitation Center has an exceptional nursing department providing skilled care 24 hours per day, seven days per week. The Nursing department includes Registered Nurses (RN’s), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN’s), Nurse technicians (NT’s), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA‘s). The licensed nurses are directly responsible for resident care. Their responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, performing physical assessments, assessing medical needs and response to treatment, conferring with the physician and other professionals, and notifying the physician and family members of changes in medical condition. St. Joseph’s Rehabilitation Center specializes in wound care using the expertise of a Treatment Nurse who keeps up-to-date on current wound treatments and protocols. The nursing department is supervised by three full-time Resident Care Coordinators to ensure residents needs are being met. They also maintain close contact with your physician. The Director of Nursing manages the nursing department. The nursing department functions as a team and strives to provide quality, compassionate care that respects each resident’s individuality.
